I have walked 60 miles for suicide prevention to honor Laurie. I have sky dived twice, visited South Africa, Malaysia, worked with Student Impact 5 years, lead small groups who have experienced child loss at Grief Support and have a blessed life. God is with me.

Dear Barb and Pete,
When I heard about your duaghter two years ago in a phone conversation, my heart dropped and once again I became overwelhmed with emotion as I had lost my very close friend and neighbor to suicide only a few months earlier. Although I have talked this out many times with my Priest, family, and friends. I continue to relive what my friend Jim must had been thinking and feeling in his last moments. It truly haunts me and although his own psyciotrist explained that there was nothing I could have done to have prevented this from happening,I just know I could have talked him out of it. The truth is, if in fact I would have been there that time, he would found another oportunity. I couldn't be there to watch him every minute. But, as you both know there is little that can be said that can take this feeling/weight off your heart. With that said, I believe my Priest said it best," You need to forgive yourself if you ever plan to grow as a human being, and help others" very good word of wisdom. I pass them along to oyu both along with my heartfelt sympathy and prayers. God be with you both.
