I have walked 60 miles for suicide prevention to honor Laurie. I have sky dived twice, visited South Africa, Malaysia, worked with Student Impact 5 years, lead small groups who have experienced child loss at Grief Support and have a blessed life. God is with me.

thank you for sharing this... it's as though i can hear her saying this in my head... laurie was used by God SO much in her short life... i've read through her emails to me while in Mexico and other such things... she was so happy there... genuinely, whole-heartedly... full of joy...
Barb - I have been reading your (and your family's) blogs since about the beginning of April. By some weird chance, I never met Laurie, although it amazes me that I didn't, as I was in Elgin for quite a while last year at this time and was around a couple of her friends pretty frequently. Anyhow, it's been amazing to read your openness in remembering Laurie. Everytime you write about her going to Queretaro, it really piques my attention - I'll be joining the I.T. team there this winter. I wish she were around to give me advise on being the single gringa on the Queretaro team - I'm the only one now! Anyhow, it's been a blessing to read what you share about your love for your daughter, and Laurie's love for the Lord and for people!!
