What was Laurie's "PRIDE" What was it about her pride that was so strong that would make her do this?
Dear Anonymous,
If you knew Laurie, you would know how ridiculous this question is. If you didn't know Laurie, that is your loss. Thank you for visiting this blog and I pray that the information shared here is of help to you. I pray that you will never have to walk the path this dear precious family is having to walk. I pray you will never again feel the need to make such horrible remarks on anyone else's blog.
I don't understand?
I don't know why you say "horrible remarks" I mean no harm at all in any way Please forgive me
I keep an open mind about everything I'm just trying to understand that's all. I cannot ask Laurie like I want to so badly. So I have to ask the people that knew her or I and everyone that's reading this blog will never know.
Dear anonymous friends,
This sort of came out of nowhere but let me just respond here by saying we will never really know why Laurie did what she did. The "Why" question will always hang out there. She was an amazing young woman who did not show the more typical signs of depression or any kind of mental illness; however, she made an irrevocable decision and ended her own life. Every day I wish she had somehow been able to press the pause button instead of the escape button and reached out to someone for help for whatever it was she was feeling.
I understand the curiosity and concern; we just will never know. What I do know is that one day I will see her again in heaven and there the "Whys" will not matter.
Thank you
Dear Anonymous,
I understand and relate to the "pride" question. Sometimes it's impossible to imagine my beautiful Laurie so trapped inside herself. Was it pride, or fear, or a million other reasons that caused Laur to shut people out? I'll never know, but as a cousin, and close friend of Laurie Boncimino, I am not offended by your question. It was simply worded in a jarring way. It is a public blog at any rate and you have every right to share your thoughts here.
