chryl said...: hey barb, greg read me this note last night and i could hear aunt lin's voice. she encouraged us in so many ways, but one of our favorite happenings was our early morning breakfasts. whenever greg and i were in town we would schedule breakfast at the alpine something-or-other and just chat all about our marriages, our kids, and our pursuit of a faith-filled life. as a young couple, her example and encouragement were invaluable to me and greg.

i find bit by bit that my heart pulls free from the deep roots that hold it frimly in the soil of earth and struggles to float to the sky toward heaven and jesus and those who are with him. that's the way it should be; feet on the ground and our hearts on the way home.
