Greek food, Thai food, Food for thought...
Last Friday night the restaurant Pete and I thought we were going to turned out to be closed. Across the road was a Greek restaurant and we decided to give it a try. We loved it! Sagnaki (flaming cheese! I love cheese.) new foods, new flavors. Good evening.
Tonight, 0ne of our few that neither Pete or I had a commitment, we went to a Thai restaurant. ( How 'bout that, Kristin? Your dad eating Thai food.) Again, delicious food, good conversation, sweet evening with a beautiful view of an amazing sunset.
And food for thought: I am often surprised by the blog world. I have received many emails and sometimes, comments on the blogs, from people I have never met. I have made some terrific friends through the blog, really come to love and cherish these dear ones. I have been encouraged beyond measure and others tell me they have received encouragement and hope from me. That is so how God works, supporting each other as an expression of Him. And again, I have a need for prayer from those who read here. Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM Katie and I have an appointment with her counselor, one I have never met but have wanted to for a long time. I need discernment, wisdom and words that express truth and truth only. I do not want to be afraid; I do not want to be influenced by anything but what God wants. Pray us up, would you? I am grateful...

I am always praying for you guys. I have come to love & cherish your family. I hope to meet you all one day!
I am proud to report that I have lost 2.5lbs this week!! YAY! :)
Barb....you know I will be praying for you. I will also be praying that any veils that might cause blindness to truth would be removed and that all could see clearly, and that the Lord would use you in a special way to communicate His purpose in this situation. Remember, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
In His Love,

Praying for you always!! I'm thinking today will be a good day...I saw a red jeep and a black one on the five minute drive to work this morning...
Hi Barb, it is approx 7:30 on Wednesday and I'm saying a prayer for you in your need. Honestly, I feel like an intruder reading into your lives, but I keep returning to this site and hoping for you & all your family that God continues to bless each one. One thing I have come to know from the entries you post is that you have the strength of God, His Angels and all that is in Heaven. Your consistently moving forward, with all the heaviness in your heart, is amazing to me and I commend every step you take. The joy that you see in your grandchildrens hearts is magnified in your writing. I can only imagine the love those babies must feel, and the girls (soon leaving the country) truly have a moving force in their lives. Heck, some kids don't have parents who care that much! Occasionally I note that it is harder for you to take those steps...but you DO, you DO it and you do it again. Only He knows why, and He knows that you are. Don't ever lose sight of that, in the midst of what is thrown about you. You are amazing to me, and I applaud you.

Praying for you & all... everything. Much to pray for. Thanks for your comments! :) Press on Barb!
I am just reading this entry now so I hope all went well at your appointment. You & your family are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Sounds like you had some great evenings with your honey. It always nice to get to spend time together and also fun to try new things.
God bless you this day and everyday!
"...and the girls (soon leaving the country)" Can you please explain what this means?
Cindy Lynn,
Oldest son Greg, his wife Cheryl and my two granddaughters, Ashley and Brooke are moving to Malayasia in roughly one month. Greg and Cheryl are there right now in Kuala Lumpur househunting. Click on Greg's blog, linked to mine for updates. And not to worry; it is not a forever assignment and we look forward to going to visit them, though they will be 9300 miles from Buffalo Grove!
Thank you for the update. How is Katie doing? Do you ever hear from your friend Debbie in FL? I hope things are going well.
I am planning on writing an update about Katie soon with her okay. As for Debbie, she is going into the women's conferences in a big way. She and gospel solist Janet Paschal have teamed up and will be doing conferences. I believe the first is Aug. 12th. Deb and I still talk and support each other in prayer. Thanks for asking.
Hola from Nicaragua! I am a little behind because I haven´t been able to get to an Internet Cafe since I´ve been here, until now. But I am praying for you and am trusting that God will continue to uphold you and surround you with friends who can encourage you. It is amazing how the internet can bring together friends who wouldn´t have otherwise met. How cool is that?
Dios te bendiga!
Love in Christ,
Meg
