This one! This one makes me cry...something about Maya...something about the resemblance and her sitting on Laurie's lap...something about the life not moving on for Laurie...I hate that.

Hi Mom,
I just wanted to take this time to tell you I love you. I agree with Eve, there is something about this picture. I started to cry also. I believe I was on the floor just in front of the picture and remember just looking up at a new generation ready to do Thangsgiving together, and I loved it. I was and am so grateful to be a part of this family, and I hate the fact that Laurie took herself out of our future. Those kids sitting listening to Chris read don't get Aunt Munch anymore. A lot of my sadness comes from the aftermath of Laurie's bad decision. My wife lost one of her baby sisters, Chris and Greg lost one their baby sisiters; Denver, Maya, Isaiah, Hayden, and now Reese lost the chance to grow up with Aunt Munch; and you and Pete lost the chance to watch a daughter take on the world. Shame on her beautiful, confused, and always giving heart. I miss her and I love her, I just wish all of us could have gotten more of her.
Your ever grateful favorite son-in-law, tommy
